Putin Takes It All

In the greatest setback for global democracy since King John signed Magna Carta at Runnymede on June 15, 1215, Americans voted on November 5th to replace their two and a half centuries of hard-won freedoms with a 21st century Mussolini. 

No, not Dumb Don.  The man who controls the Dumb Dude:  ‘Lil Vladdy Putin.

For Putin, this victory is everything.  He has devoted his life to reversing Russia’s loss of power when the Soviet Union collapsed nearly three and a half decades ago.  But, in a staggering set of miscalculations setting his country back centuries, he destabilized all Russia’s borders and, with his war in Ukraine, reduced it—already a puny 72nd in the world in GDP per capital—to economic rubble.

Nonetheless, American voters rewarded Putin mightily for his stupidity, handing power to his appointed cypher, Dumb Don, and giving Don control of both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court.  As of January 20th, therefore, Putin will control all three branches of the U.S. government.

The big question is, why did Americans do something as dumb as this?  Especially when they know that Dumb Don said on February 10th of NATO members who spend less than 2% of their GDP on defense, “I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them (Russia) to do whatever the hell they want.” 

Canada spends only 1.38%, making Putin free to invade Canada.  The Dumb Dude will happily give his boss full control of the U.S.’ 5,525 miles (8,891 km) undefended border with Canada, most of which is just a line running through fields, forests, rivers, lakes and mountains.   

Worse for the U.S., After 157 years, Russia now reclaims Alaska.  Taking over Canada will let Putin cut it off from the lower forty-eight.  A step in the right direction!

The U.S. will be catastrophically weakened.  No surprise, Dumb Don says that this is OK with him.  Putin’s the boss now.  Don obediently nominated top Putinista, Tulsi Gabbard, to run all our 18 intelligence agencies, ensuring that ‘Lil Vladdy gets all the help he needs. 

Better still, Dumb Don promises to send the U.S. into a recession that may last decades.  He will triple the federal budget and send taxes through the roof in order to arrest, detain and deport the 11 to 18 million undocumented living here and fueling the economy.  There is no one to replace these workers so the American economy must be gutted, delighting, among others, Xi Jinping.

Don will also impose huge import tariffs to push consumer prices, especially the price of autos and gasoline, through the roof, further slashing the American standard of living.
