To assure our competitive advantage and future growth, we must win the Race to Post Carbon. We have no choice. It we lose this, we lose our position in the global economy, likely for good.
The problem? Whatever Dumb Don touches, he loses. Whether it’s a casino in Atlantic City or the Race to Post Carbon, he loses.
Worse, he at least made some effort to save himself in Atlantic City. But, he is absolutely determined to lose the Race to Post Carbon and with it the future of his country.
Whether it’s his withdrawal from the Paris Agreement on climate or forcing California to slash its emissions standards, Don will do anything he can to lose. It’s just his nature. He doesn’t like to win.
He is so thick that, on September 22nd, he had Newt Gingrich tell Trumpistas that a Green New Deal would cost $93 trillion, require a tax hike of 77% and put an end to air travel. Without saying over what period. A week? A century?
And, without the slightest evidence that American companies like Ubiquitous Energy are close to solarizing windows on such a scale that the Saudis will be out of business. Attach UE windows to a blockchain engine and Wi-Fi and we get staggering amounts of clean energy from every office tower surface on the planet. The Green New Deal is bought and paid for without a cent coming from taxpayers.
And Don is a building owner? Hmm… Not a very smart one. That’s for sure. And Newt? Had to be nuts to sign onto this.
At the same time that Dumb Don is insistent that we lose the Race to Post Carbon, he supports The American Death Curve which wastes $1.7 trillion a year. Our whole GDP every eleven years.
If he threw that money into the Race to Post Carbon, we would be a global powerhouse for a long, long time to come.
Don has almost no experience in business. He was a rich kid who wasn’t smart enough to learn English or make it through primary school. He can’t read or write. So, if you tried to explain to him what every factory manager knows, that quality is green because higher yield means less waste and lower costs, he would not understand a word of what you said.
If you went on to point out that the survival of human organizations for all history has depended on how far out they were on the Information Cost-Velocity Curve where ever-cheaper information is substituted for land, labor and capital, he would hear only gibberish.
If you then said that as the ICVC substitutes ever more information for other factor inputs, it is progressively Post Carbon. This, you say, means that winning one race means winning the other. He would either look blank or start shouting. No way of knowing which.
The simple fact that we cannot be a successful capitalist nation without winning the Race to Post Carbon is far beyond Dumb Don’s intellectual limitations.
Which is why everyone in business thinks he’s an idiot.
